Name of Material: Pain Button
Type of Material: Poison
Gathered or Crafted? Crafted
How to Gather or Craft: Harvest honey and apitoxin from bees, and include any number of other reagents depending on locale and availability. Dilute the venom in water, distill the solution, mix the essence with honey and thickener or thinning agents depending on desired severity. The mixture is left in grooves or cylinders to dry. Once dry, they are cut into sections and then left to harden into 'buttons'.
Skill Requirements: Gathering: Agriculture: Novice (for harvesting venom and honey from bees.); Crafting: Poisoning & Chemistry: Competent
Rarity: Common
Uses: Blood/insinuative toxin. Applied to red splotches and open cuts or wounds, it will burn with an intensity determined by the skill of the poisoner.
Estimated Price: Tier 3 to buy the poison. Tier 2 for the ingredients.
Native to: Anywhere bees are raised.
Information: Pain Buttons, when ground into powder, dissolved into the liquid or mixed into a thick ichor for application to a blade, can cause pain on par with a bee sting to an open wound, or any area which has even minor hemorrhaging. The button is actually harmless on its own, and is only meant for storage in its button form. In button form, it has a very long shelf. When processed into a toxin for delivery, it has a shelf-life of mere trials, weakening each day it isn't used.
Side effects / complications / weaknesses: Fairly safe to handle in button form, it's one of the easier to handle and create, pain-inflicting poisons around, and very commonplace.

Pain Button
Approved by Maltruism

I guess this was included in the same mistake I made which stymied my intent to approve Flea Flour.
Same thing, not an Earth-shakingly OP item, but one which makes sense to have been crafted along the line.
Common knowledge among those with such jobs as healers, investigators and interrogators, (as well as bee keepers...lol)

Like Flea Flour, I really appreciate your inclusion of some good alchemical processing steps. :D
