Here is where I will place thoughts, musings and other character related things 
Gray Mantras
The Lich Vanessa Gray was always an odd one, and when she took in Evalin as her apprentice and servant she taught not only skills but habits as well. Among these are a set of mantras or sayings which Vanessa uses for various situations in life, as well as in her magical practices. They hold no real purpose as far as Evalin has found, but none the less she has been forced to memorize them and use them often.

Killing for thrall creation
"By blood life is taken, freeing the vessel of mortal compulsion."
Implanting a well in a thrall to be
"Flesh laid bare, exposed to the world. Life is without meaning, death without peace. Forget the slumber of the gave. Serve without ceasing. Curse your existence. Accept the inevitable, and heed my commands forevermore."
Creating the nexus
"Fill, fill, fill to the brim. Tip the chalice and overflow. Release and grip, unburden and set free. Stand to fall, crushed by the weight of the damned. Scream and beg, and give up hope. Chains bind you, pathetic wretch. Succumb and despair before the unknown. Give in to the greater power and become my thrall."

To focus on a task

"Shatter the cracked mirror, its reflection is false."
Ignoring pain
"Steam from the surface. Billow, rise and be forgotten."
