Iashiri watched as the professor walked around the laboratory, deep in thought. "This still..." said the professor, mostly thinking out loud. "If we don't do anything, soon enough we'll have a city of statues." Iashiri nodded. The still was also one of her worries. She had to find a solution or she wouldn't be able to complete her own plans. "What can we do professor?" She said, her grovokian accent showing slightly. The professor suddenly stopped and looked at her, which made Iashiri a bit uncomfortable. "I have some ideas, but let me worry about that. For now, I want you to make some pain killers for those people that have had their members removed. You'll find the recipe in that book." he said, pointing to a nearby table. It looked as if the professor already knew what Iashiri would be doing today, for on the table, was a chemistry set as well as the ingredients that she would need. The book he mentioned as also there, already opened at the needed page. Iashiri simply nodded, approached the table and looked at the book. It was in Common, but after reading through it multiple times, she was certain that she could create these painkillers.
It seemed as if this painkiller was a mixture of a substance found in a flower and an alcoholic solution, something very simple to make, but that still required attention. The ingredients she was going to need were all right there next to the book. A bowl filled with dried purple flowers that she had never seen before as well as a couple of bottles of what she realized, after taking a quick sniff, was a cheap alcoholic beverage, but one she could distill the raw alcohol from. She didn’t knew how to distill pure alcohol from an alcoholic beverage, but luckily for her, the book covered it slightly. She had used an alembic before, but this was her first time trying to distill pure alcohol. Still, it was clear what she had to do. First, she crushed the already dried flowers and prepared an infusion with an handful of them, just as if she was preparing tea. The book didn’t mentioned how much of this infusion she had to prepare however. The book only mentioned that she would need about 10 grams of some type of crystal that this infusion would leave after making the water evaporate in the alembic. It was clear to her that the alembic was going to be her main tool to form this sedative, and she would have to use it twice. First though, she needed to start brewing this tea.
While the tea was brewing, she focused on the other side of the recipe. The alcohol. It seemed as if the professor had already used all of the alcohol he had distilled before, so now, she had to distill it herself. It was a simple process however, and there was an alembic right at the table that had that exact function. She grabbed the three bottles, poured the alcoholic beverage in to the alembic and lit the burner below it, flinching slightly from the light of the flame. The alcohol would slowly start to be distilled into a cup so now all she had to do was wait for it. Meanwhile, the tea infusion was ready and this flower infused water that she had brewed was giving out a very sweet scent. Now all she had to do was remove the excess water and keep only the active element of the flowers. To do so however, she needed an alembic, and the one provided to her was currently in use. Right now, she needed to wait for the alcohol to finish distilling.
