☠ It was a hot Ymiden day in Yaralon, and knowing this Cervantez knew he had to work fast. Heat was not kind to undead flesh, quickly hastening the decomposing factor of the body faster than the necromancer had liked. As such he had to take his find into his own home. It was time to make his own thrall. It would be easy to just raise one and be done with it, but Cerv was more than your average necromancer, as he had an aesthetic to his practice. As such he had to pick the best representation to his craft. As such he had gather bodies from his daily trip out into the yari wilds, finding those that died out in the harsh climate. Njama brought them in, laying down so his master could unload the bodies from the holdings on the beast. He had found several specimens, even a full blown skeleton still intact. Alltogether there were about a good five bodies and one full skeleton to choose from. Giddy like a kid in a candy store the necromancer eagerly brought the brought the specimens down to an underground lab of sorts. It was the perfect place to choose and impart himself onto his very own thrall. He couldn't wait to see which of the five and bag of bones he would choose. Inspecting them thoroughly Cervantez was already sure the first of the five was a no go. He was a portly man, chubby in all he wrong places and had a smarmy look to his face, and to add insult to injury, he was the one that Cerv personally watched die. The man obviously didnt take care of himself as he should signs of being out of shape. No that wouldn't do for a custom thrall all his own. Next he had a woman, a female mercenary it seemed, no maybe an assassin from the light armament she wore and the dual dagger she had on her person. Fair skinned and quite the looker, she had this somberness to her appearance, it almost made him wonder what type of woman she was.......almost anyway. She was dead which was more than beneficial to him. Cervantez came to the realization that an assassin thrall would be useful to him. Most often or not she could be his eyes and ears, scouting out territories for him. Yes out of these two this woman would be the more viable option. Moving the large man up stairs, he called for Njama, but the beast wouldn't come and Cerv didn't have time to fetch him right now, knowing Njama would come eventually. Heading back down beneath his home, Cerv looked at the next of the remaining bodies. Three men laid before him, and only one could become another one of his thralls in his little undead family. ☠

☠ The next body up on the chopping block was a robust man, definitely a mercenary if Cervantez ever saw one. He gave off the natural yari feel. He was human, about 6ft 1, and judge from what was underneath his armor, well sculpted. That was good, for in the event he was chosen along with the assassin woman, he could be a good front-liner, taking on scores of small fry while Cervantez issued commands from behind, not to say he couldn't fight on his own, he too was a Yari as well. Upon closer inspection, the Yar noticed that this man had face brands, he was an exile. That made thing truly interesting for sure, finding it exhilarating to have an outcast as a thrall. And as long as the man's face was properly covered, who would be the wiser, more so who would care. In any case this man could be valuable to Cervantez in the long run so it was best to keep him around. Moving the body to the side Cerv's gaze fell to the next in the undead lineup. This one was an odd thing to see, as the next body up for decision was a priest. Poor sap must have been on a good will mission from some religious order or something, and not prepared for the "hospitality" of the Yaralon landscape. Looking the man over Cerv couldn't really see anything useful the man could afford the necromancer. Sad to say but the priest wasn't going to make the cut for this one.
Moving the unlucky man upstairs Njama was finally around and Cerv tossed the body in front of the hound. Ohunkohun ar bọsẹyẹ gbängbä tä anou jere ẹlẹdin, ibon tl'ọk'ẹtmusdus takip tä motsi epọv, anou awt byth'ni tìflrr ke’u. {Go and take these to the fire pit, make sure not to eat them, the are bad for you.} He commanded, the beast growling in a low tone before taking one of the bodies in its maw and out to the designated area. Back downstairs Cerv was onto the final body, the one he found along with the portly man. A young man of maybe.....19 or 21 arcs to guess. He was one of the freshest of the bodies found, next to the assassin woman & the portly man. It was conflicting to say the least, as Cerv wanted to use the boy for his thrall, but he didn't think the boy could be useful. Odds are the young man went to make a name for himself in the unforgiving Yari wilds, and was that portly man's bodyguard. Some guard he turned out to be the poor fool. Setting the body next to the rest Cervantez knelt down and looked the young man over. You should have done better with your life, its not all glory in death, but don't worry for I shall make use of you somehow. He spoke, a whisper as if the boy could hear him. Now with that out of the way he needed to preserve them. Washing his hands in his ether, he touched the faces of each corpse, allowing the thoughts of rejuvenation and freshness to guide his magic. One by one he preserved the bodies. That along with the conditions of his underground lab, he was assured that they would be fine down here. ☠

☠ Now with the bodies preserved, he took the bones of whom ever it was he found and sprawled them out before himself. Going to his mentor's notes, he found the correct term for this undead. A marrow huh, how appropriately named. Pouring over the notes he looked between the worn pages and the bones laying on the ground. Oh this would work wonder for Cervantez, the versatility of the Marrow type, as well as its durability and that it is far easier to transport. He could use them far better than any body, and maybe they would be far easier to maintain once he could get his hands on something his mentor noted as a well. Excited he rubbed his hands together as his hands surged with ether. Slamming them on the ground he poured it into the bones. After some trills they began to rattle and shake, slowly pulling together. As it put itself together Cerv got excited, like really excited so much so he broke his focus, causing the bones to fall apart. Panicking he calmed himself down and regain his focus, pouring the ether back into the bones, watching them vibrate with life. Eyes wide and grin upon his face, a full animated Marrow stood before him. Standing, still holding the ethereal reigns to his new toy, he circled it, catching a close call as it almost gripped him. Oh no no no, you dont attack me understand. Cerv, reprimanded looking very impressed with his work, the bone construct obeying far better than Njama. Ecstatic he cut the connection, allowing the marrow to fall to pieces. Putting them back in the bag he had them in, Cervantez raced upstairs, lighting a torch as he approached the lounging massibex hound, and tossing it into the pit he used to burn those unlucky not to stand up to his undead standards. ☠

Comments:
I found Cervantez's childish enthusiasm when it comes to examining corpses infectious. I suspect his spark might have a childish or playful streak, at least for a dark magic spark. It was very cute and endearing how his doggo brought home bones for his master! Your description of the corpses was all good, and you seemed to play within your skill level, having some difficulty at the end controlling your undead as one would expect. I look forward to seeing more of Cervantez's antics with his undead dol... I mean action figures.
