Just a quick question before the business page goes up. It's assumed that a PC can only buy items / services from a business's Target Tier or below, right? So if the business' Target Tier is 7, nobody could buy Tier 8 stuff there, right?
Except then, how would that work with the PC customer discount if a PC is Tier 7? Because the discount says they can buy items one Tier above what they are, which would be Tier 8 in a Tier 7 business. You see what I mean? Do we just say that's alright? Or can they not buy above the business' Target Tier, no matter what?
I would hate for the discount not to work for someone, tho.

I think the Target Tier is just that... the Tier the MAJORITY of the customers shop at. If the PC who owns the shop has the skill to make items at Tier 10 in that example, I think let the PC have it.
You think?

Yeah, that sounds fine with me. ^_^ I'll probably make a note of it somewhere.

Sorry, another question but... what about players who are Tier 10? They can't get the discount because there is no tier above theirs.
Perhaps instead Tier 10 people could get PB points for shopping at player businesses? Or something like that?

I just realized. We're going to have to convert current player businesses into the Tier System.
I'm thinking, to make it simple, we
1. Make sure they have at least 25xp in Business Management. All of them should.
2. Check what level they are in their Business Skill. That will tell us the highest Wealth Tier they'd be able to target. Then, if the PC wants to target that Tier or any other Tier below that, let them.
3. If they have already paid for their business in full, no extra charge. If they haven't paid off their business yet, take the 1000gn = 1wp conversion and convert their remaining debt. Then they pay off the remaining debt in wp.
4. They may need to update their business proposals to include what tier they target and such.
And we may need to rewrite the proposal guide as well, or at least update it.

Discount on the wp cost of buying extra at their tier?

Good idea! But I had a talk with Pegasus today about this and she thought maybe that, because Tier 10 PCs will likely be shopping at Tier 10 businesses, and because Tier 10 business owners are likely very high level (master at least; with some or most being grandmaster), that Tier 10 PCs would benefit from PC businesses being able to sell, essentially, 'custom' items. So Faith, for example, is a grandmaster and has a business, and her capstones allow her to do such things as create fine material as tough as armor, etc, etc. So Tier 10 PCs are going to be able to get 1 'custom' item per shop per season.
It will encourage business PCs to grandmaster in skills related to their business in order to sell custom items, which should bring in Tier 10 PCs as customers, which allows business PCs to benefit from extra wp... so a win win, I think.

Fair enough.
