The Sev'ryn watched with fascination as the Immortal's eyes became distant, noting one of the wolves stood from his place on the forest floor and come to her. He was larger than a regular wolf, with thick fur that was patterned with dark grey and tan. His eyes were a rich amber, much like the color of a fine cognac held to the sunlight on a warm summer day, intense and wild. As he sniffed about her, the huntress held out her hand for him to smell, feeling comfortable that the large lupine creature would not harm her. Instead of touching her hand however, the wolf lifted his head to touch his nose to hers.
Kali'rial gasped as she felt a surge of power rush through her veins, closing her eyes against the almost frightening sensation. There was a murmuring sound, all around her in the clearing, and against her tongue she felt the unfamiliar point of her canines as they grew. Opening her eyes, the brunette felt her heart racing, looking into the gaze of the canine with her now own wolffish amber iris', a little concerned of what was happening. Suddenly there was a calming voice that sounded not from around her, but inside her mind.
"Be calm Kali'rial, and do not fear. My name is Sarkis. You are one of us now." Before her, the creature let his tongue loll from his mouth in a wolfish grin. Shaking her head, the young woman looked at him and then back to the Immortal, breathing a sudden laugh of amazement. Part of Karem's pack? The Sev'ryn felt a sudden sense of belonging, as though this had been her path all along. Looking up at the massive wolf as he bent to sniff her, the brunette reached out slowly to touch the soft ruff around his face. Her sense of awe was slightly dampened as he licked her entire face in one go, but not enough to destroy her wonder. Grimacing a little playfully, the Sev'ryn chuckled and wiped her face with her hand.
"I'm glad he likes me. Can't imagine being on his bad side." Turning to look at Karem and bowing her head, Kali placed a hand over her heart.
"Great Huntress, I am honoured and humbled by this gift. Thank you. I will seek out this Kura Mareth immediately on my return." Turning back to Sarkis, she reached out to stroke his velvety ears, smiling as the great wolf tilted his head into her touch before settling by her feet.
"Wolf-Walker..." She breathed to herself, before looking at the Great Elder with her new amber eyes. There were so many questions she had about the changes that burned inside her. What did they mean, how did she use them? All questions she would take to Kura, as advised.
"Thank you."
