Fighting Infection: With this ability, Faith has developed an almost supernatural ability to fight infection. Using a mixture of herbs, techniques for cleaning wounds and her very strong levels of detection, Faith can target and clear wounds of infection, then stitch them in such a way that infection is far less likely to get in. This is not a "cure all" and infections can still happen, but her ability to do this dramatically increases the survival likelihood of her patients as infection is a very real killer. With improved environment and access to her equipment, this ability gets much stronger but even in the worst of circumstances, she is able to lessen the risk to the patient.

One of the main skills of a medic is the skill of diagnosis. Thanks to her extensive experience of medicine, her encyclopedic knowledge and her high level of detection, Faith is able to witness symptoms and quickly pinpoint whether the cause is natural or unnatural. Having determined this, she is then able to diagnose probable cause. The upshot of this is the more common the disease / illness / injury, the quicker she is to diagnose it. So, common ailments which are what they seem to be might be diagnosed after a brief conversation or very basic observation. Even when something more obscure might be mistaken for a more common condition, Faith has honed her skill to the point where she can spot if something is 'more than it seems' and can then quickly work to diagnose the actual issue.

If she doesn't know the issues being presented (so the first time she is presented with a particularly obscure disease) this would allow her to quickly recognise that it is not anything "usual", but would not speed up finding what it is.

With enormous expertise in medicine, Faith is an incredibly efficient healer. She has honed her skills to such a po
int that her patients do better for being treated by her. Such is her expertise that Faith's patients fare better than others. In practical terms, this means that, if Faith is caring for an individual they will recover more quickly. With the level of medical care she gives, people she treats heal one third faster than they would if under the care of a different doctor. It is Faith's attention to detail and determination to provide exactly the right care and medicine in exactly the right amount at precisely the right time which means that this occurs. In order for this to work, Faith must treat the person daily and have access to all needed equipment.

Because of her skill in medicine, Faith is a very efficient, very well known healer. Perhaps it is a psychological thing in her patients, or her own calm assurance, but when Faith is treating someone, they experience less pain, discomfort and negative symptoms, effectively cutting these in half. This ability requires Faith to be present and actively treating the individual and lasts for a full trial. If, however, she does not return in that trial, then the patient reverts to the usual negative symptoms. This works for symptoms only, so would be effective for the pain of a broken leg, for example, but would not impact the healing.

Having extensively studied blood in service to Famula and as part of her marks, Faith has already perfected the techniques of separating red blood cells from plasma and has worked out how to infuse that plasma back into the needy. With this ability, she has an instinctual understanding of red blood. With careful examination of someone’s blood using her vision and sense of smell and then testing it by mixing small amounts of the donor and recipient, she can tell if a blood donor is a compatible match of red blood cells or not to the intended recipient. She perceives subtle difference in it which allow her to know if it will be suitable for transfusion into another individual or if it will, in fact, be rejected.

Faith can, upon a glance, not only immediately tell how to repair any damage caused to a person's body, but she can also make a very educated guess as to exactly what caused the damage in the first place. This allows her to remove any inserted object with relative ease, even the most complex shapes and weapons designed with barbs, hooks or other devices, while at the same time giving an edge over standard investigative measures if the object was already out of the wound. It also means that she can plan treatment, of course, since she is able to tell, even if the object is not there, where she should look for further, possibly hidden, damage..

Faith is able to perform surgery to such a level that she can stitch in such a way as to leave no scars at all. The wound itself, once tended to by her, is closed and her stitches do not open, do not pull or get infected and leave no scar. This means that pain is reduced enormously for the patient and healing time is cut down to a very short space of time.

From her extensive experience of surgery and medicine, Faith has developed an instinctual understanding of diseases and how they work.Her specialism in previously incurable diseases has caused her to work in ways others have not. This capstone allows her to immediately know how to start working on a cure for a currently incurable disease. It doesn't give her the cure itself, but it cuts out a lot of the time wasted in chasing down false leads and so on, buying her the time to try and save her patient.

Faith's ability with cooking has allowed her to utilise her ingredients to their absolute maximum. This means that she is able to stretch the contents of her larder to an amazing degree. She has the capacity to take what most chefs would use for one portion and turn it into a full meal for four. This has a consequence for her restaurant and means that she makes 25% more profit because she does not need to buy the amount of ingredients to stock the supplies.

Silk Purse: As the old saying goes of making a silk purse from a sow's ear, Faith is able to make delicious food from produce and meat which has gone off. Faith can cut away rotten parts and treat it with salt or other herbs, bringing it back to make it edible. Doing this takes time in the preparation and she will take twice as long to prepare any dish where she has to use this; it has no impact on the cooking time for obvious reasons.

Total Nutrition: The food that Faith cooks is nutritionally balanced and exquisitely tasty. Those who eat her food can all agree on this. However, her attention to detail in the planning and preparation of food means that, those who eat Faith's food are healthier - they have more energy, more resistance to disease and so on and have a better metabolism and auto immune system etc. They are less likely to get ill and, if they do, will shake it off more quickly. They have the energy and focus to be able to do more, achieve more in a trial than they might otherwise. Fundamentally, those who eat her food live longer, healthier lives. Obviously, the more often one eats her food, the more this impact happens. (So those who live with her, her employees and those who are trainees in her business will reap the most benefit)

Faith can create a bespoke menu for an individual who is injured or diseased and it will speed up and bolster their immune system / body's defenses to the point that it effectively increases their healing rate by one third. This only works if Faith has worked out a menu specific for that individual and if the individual sticks to it. It does not cure illness, it does not fight infection, but what it does is work alongside the medical treatment to effectively slice one third of the time needed to heal. It applies to wounds, broken bones, illnesses and diseases - anything which requires recovery time.

With this ability Faith is able to make desserts quantifiably different from how they appear. Something which looks like a lemon mousse might taste like a chocolate milkshake, a crisp outer shell might dissolve into a thick sauce the moment the spoon touches it. She requires the ingredients for how it tastes, rather than how it looks and this only works with desserts / sweets.

The Confectionier: Faith can make wonderful, magical confections. From sweet desserts to individual chocolates, she is able to weave wonder in to sweet treats. A chocolate coin which explodes into liquid upon being eaten, a dessert mousse which has a different taste with each spoonful - these are examples of this. More than that, though, her confections are incredibly detailed and so she is able to produce works of art in chocolate, in cakes and desserts. Models with moving pieces, tiny and intricate details and all done to a level which is usually not achievable - her confectionery is second to none.

With this ability Faith is able to smell or taste something edible and know its ingredients and / or composition. This sense of smell/taste is so well developed that she can ascertain details like the region in which grapes were grown, what pest control (if any) was used on the plant and so on. This only applies to food and drink and links with her cooking abilities.

Faith has such a well developed sense of smell that she is able to use it to identify the constituent parts / ingredients in organic matter. Be it a potion or a cake, Faith needs to sniff the item, and will then be able to identify what is in it. This only works for ingredients she is familiar with and would allow her to recognise the ingredients in a cake, for example, or a potion.

Faith's awareness of the world around her has increased to the point that she begins to be able to see and sense nuances in a way which might seem to be beyond human but is, in fact, very clear attention to minute detail. Like the modern day "Neuro-Linguistic Programming", and in conjunction with her high psychology skill, Faith has learned to read people. We tend to look in a particular direction when lying, another when remembering, pupils dilate when we recognise something and contract when we are afraid and so on. Her attention to non-verbal cues is such that she has developed a remarkable insight for what people are genuinely thinking and feeling, rather than what they are presenting to the world.

In practice, what this means is that Faith will have an excellent insight into the thoughts and emotions of those she meets. The longer she knows them, the more she gets to know their individual quirks, but upon first meeting she can gain a sound grasp of someone's reaction. It could easily be mistaken for Empathy or Attunement, but it is not as powerful as either of those.

By meticulous and careful layering of tiny pieces of fabric, Faith is able to create items of clothing which seem to shift and change in colour, depending on the light on them. This ability allows her to craft an item which might seem to be constantly shifting and changing, or which might look like one colour in bright light, another at dusk and a third in flickering torchlight. This can be a single effect which effects the garment / item in exactly the same way throughout the whole piece (so a skirt that looks all blue, shifting into all green in a different light) or it might happen in parts (so a top which shimmers between a variety of different colours). This effect can be put on to whole garments, parts of a garment or made into trim. Because of the delicate nature of this technique, Faith will take twice as long to make something when using it.

With this ability, Faith can make garments which maintain the wearer in a state of cool or warm. A summer dress made with this technique will be cooler and more comfortable in the heat of Saun than it should be, keeping the wearer comfortably cool as though they were in a spring breeze. That same dress could not then be warmer, it is made for one purpose, warm or cold. A thick knitted jumper would keep the wearer as warm as if they had many layers on, keeping out wind and cold. Again, making these takes Faith twice as long.

Born from a quip made in a moment of crisis, Faith has worked out a way of making a piece of material act like a light leather armour. This technique does not make the item thicker, but does add weight to it, due to the nature of the technique. This technique takes 3x as long to make something with and costs 3 x the amount of material, also.

Faith has developed the ability to pre-treat an item she is making with the needlecraft skill in order to make it durable and resistant. Items crafted with this capstone will not fade, will not rip or tear in usual day-to-day wear and are stain resistant. The items made will remain in as good a condition as the trial they were made. However, the nature of the pre-treatment and the way that she then puts the item together means that, should it be damaged by fire, weapons, scissors, etc then it simply can not be repaired at all.

Faith has extensive experience of running a business and she combines this with mastery of Leadership and a number of capstones in Detection. She has good instincts about people and she looks at the big picture. As the head of an international organisation, Faith has become the master of delegation and organisation on a massive scale. As such, she has networks of employees and suppliers and her businesses are run with extreme efficiency. This level of management leads to increased efficiency and increased profits. In practical terms this means any "Transaction Thread" where Faith as owner or a PC employee threads out a purchase with a PC, they gain +1 WP more from it than they would usually, according to the guide.

In terms of moving goods and services, Faith's logistics skills are second to none. She has an almost supernatural ability to be able to organise and this means that her ability to run a global faction is second to none. She is able to ensure that the charity work she does has maximum efficiency which, in turn, increases its reputation. The apparently effortless way that she organises means that the work each faction member does is more efficient. Therefore, any "Faction Thread" gains the faction an extra Wealth Point per thread.

The start of this season, and the beginning of playing her, saw Faith as owned by an undertaker called Jamal Kash'deel. At this time, he had owned her for exactly one arc, during which time he had completed her training, as he saw it. During this season, Faith was allowed out of her owner's shop for the first time and this resulted in meeting a number of people. Particularly key people that she met this season were:
Rafael Warrick: The young noble who saved her when she was being pursued by a number of very unpleasant thugs. Faith and he chatted and he was very anti-slavery. However, he took her back to Jamal's and left.
Kazmir : The devout young slave met this man who tried to teach her his way of looking at things. She and he argued constantly and there was very much a friends-but-really-annoying sort of relationship.
Malcolm: She met Malcolm and he told her about the university. For the naive young slave, he was the first person to ever talk to her like a person, not a slave. That was an astonishing thing for her and it marked the beginning of quite a significant crush which lasted quite a few months. She determined that she would love to go to the university.
Yana: Significant for all the wrong reasons, the one-eyed mercenary came to Jamal's and he handed over control of Faith to Yana. That led to unpleasantness for the young slave.
Tristan Venora: Having spoken to Jamal about her desire to attend the university, he was very displeased and, as the last stage of her punishment, she was required to go to the gates of the university and ask the students there about what they were learning, what attending the university was like. The person she met was Tristan Venora and he, after speaking to her for a while, determined that he would like a slave and so went to Jamal's undertakers and bought her. This started a whole new chapter for the young woman.

Saun 716 was an amazing one for the young slave. It started out with her being sent to the dungeon by Tristan to get a new brand; the rose of House Venora on her upper arm. He dressed her in clothes which were unlike anything Faith had ever seen before and she was delighted when he allocated her his former storage cupboard as her room, with a matress and chest for her clothes. Tristan was kinder to her than any owner had ever been and allowed her all sorts of freedoms which she had not before experienced. He dressed her well and kept her fed and more than that he was never physically violent with her. Faith worked hard to try and ensure that she was the best slave that she could be to him. After sending her for training in the House of Roses, Faith shared Tristan's bed and the two of them worked out where the boundaries were in their new reality. In order to bring money into the house, Faith also started working as a Seamstress and a Chef. In the early part of Saun, Faith met Tristan's brother, Teddy, who she assaulted because she believed that he was actually trying to break into the house.

On the 12th Saun 716, Tristan went to visit his family home in Venora, bringing Faith with him. During that time, she met Nir'wei whilst she was out gathering herbs. They immediately became friends and have remained so. She was also sent to serve as a personal slave to Zvezdana Venora, Tristan's cousin. Whilst there, as is the way in the house, Faith was sent to work in the kitchens. Whilst there, she heard some gossip from other slaves about how a noble woman, by the name of Elyna Burhan, had been kidnapped and was being held prisoner. Faith determined that she had to speak to Tristan. This she did, by getting herself put onto the night shift as punishment for deliberate wrong-doing and sneaking into Tristan's room. She told him what she had learned and they combined this with an article in the Gazette which said that Lady Elyna Burhan was pregnant by Marcus Krome, who she was due to wed. Tristan was at Elyna's wedding to Malcolm before he bought Faith, so this just added to their certainty that there was something wrong. Tristan took Faith to his cousin, Alistair Venora and they determined a plan of action.

Alistair and Faith travelled to Krome, with the aim of rescuing Lady Burhan. When they got there, Faith was given as a gift to Lady Burhan. During the journey to Krome, Faith had practiced a number of skills, including her sewing and cooking ~ she had sewn a dagger into the corset of her dress, for Lady Burhan to have, for example, but also she had spent time learning to fight. Upon arriving in Krome, Faith was given to Lady Burhan and discovered that they were leaving, immediately. Lady Burhan was being held against her will by Marcus Krome and was being taken back to Venora where, the plan was that she would marry Marcus Krome. Faith accompanied Lady Elyna, as she grew to call her, acting as her personal servant. She saw only some of the horrors which had befallen the noble woman, but Faith was very clear who was the bad guy here.

On the way back to Venora, they were attacked by a group of zombies. This was the first battle which the young slave had seen and although she did her best to defend Lady Elyna with a frypan, she realised two things quite quickly. The noble lady did not need protecting, and Faith did not do well in combat. However, after the zombie attack, they made it back to Venora and Faith was in the tent where Velijorn Burhan and Zvezdana Venora were awaiting the arrival of King Cassander. Their plan was to overthrow him. Faith was kneeling next to a young boy, also a slave, who had been obviously mistreated at the hands of the two who wanted to take over from the king. Faith was as kind to him as she could be and tried to protect him. Then, there was the flapping of mighty wings and the heads of the seven noble families of Rynmere came in. But King Cassander was not there, the man who removed the helmet of the King was, in fact Alistair Venora. Faith was mostly lost by this point but then the slave who she had knelt next to took her hand and led her to a chair. He was the king, Faith realised, as did the others in the room. King Cassander, who had posed as a slave alongside her, spoke then and, within moments, everything had turned around and descended into chaos. Lady Elyna stepped forward and she plunged her knife into Velijorn Burhan. Lady Elyna grabbed Faith's hand and, as Velijorn died and the killing started, the two women fled, on dragonback, back to Andaris and to Faith's owner's home. The Qe'dreki force attacked the next trial, Faith was part of the medical groups there and then the city was beseiged by shadow creatures. It was a season unlike any other and yet, back home in Andaris and in serving her owner, things returned to normal in one way. Despite this, Faith knew in her core that she would never return to the person she was. In a very real sense, she believed that her freedom started the trial that she heard about the noble who had been held captive.[/style2]

As the new season dawned, Faith would have said that this season, unlike the last, could not begin to be significant. Had she said that, she could not have been more wrong. Tristan had spoken to Faith about attending the University and she had been very clear that she would love to, but she was not allowed to as a slave and so Tristan arranged for her to have private lessons. At the beginning of the season she met her new tutor, Padraig, who was going to be teaching her mathematics, chemistry and physics. She started her lessons and loved them, immediately; she had a hunger for learning which was insatiable.

During the first few trials of the seasons, the shadowbeasts were still attacking and Faith fought them both with Tristan, her owner, and with Padraig, her tutor. Both times they were repelled, but the young slave was worried about them. However, she was busy with two jobs and her duties to her owner ~ coupled with her lessons they all conspired to keep her very busy. It was a lot to juggle but she was managing it and she foresaw that it would get easier to do so. However, a dream where Famula bade her to go down to the docks and get on a boat would be another life changing experience. She, her owner Tristan and others she knew (including Padraig) were aboard that boat, steered by the Immortal U'frek and taken to Ne'haer. Whilst in Ne'haer, they attended a meeting, met a lot of Immortals, Moseke stroked Faith's cheek and told her that she had to have faith and the young slave volunteered in the medical tents; the city was almost entirely destroyed by shadow beasts, it seemed. The group of adventurers were asked to go through a portal, to Treidhart and Faith did, without question. There, she was part of a group who stormed the Tomb of Treid. Faith and Padraig ended up on the roof of the tomb together and it was there that she realised that she had fallen in love with him. Knowing that she could not ever act on those feelings, though, she pushed them to one side and dismissed them as simply being in the moment of battle and nothing more than the crush of a foolish girl. The group fought and it was a mighty battle, the upshot of which was that the Tomb of Treid was blasted open and a massive crater was where Treid had lay. Outside the tomb, an enormous battle raged but Faith knew that she had been sent here for this moment; she had to go down into the dark where the dead were. She told Padraig that and he silently simply went with her. They journeyed together through what they realized was the reforming body of Treid himself. There they met Yvithia, who spoke to Padraig and Faith's feelings continued to grow for him. They were witness to the sight of a dead Immortal reforming and, of course, the shared experience of having fallen down Treid's armpit together.

When they got back, Faith agreed to meet Padraig to go gathering herbs. This ended up with them getting lost, attacked by bandits, escaping through the river and having to spend the night in the forest. During that time, they spoke and Faith recognised that her feelings for her tutor were continuing to develop and were not simply a byproduct of the excitement and adrenaline of previously. She knew, however, that she could not be in a relationship whilst she was owned by anyone and since she saw no option other than to be owned, she pushed those feelings aside. They did not disappear though and Faith found herself looking forward to her lessons as much for the opportunity to see Padraig as for the lessons themselves.

In the middle of the season, Faith's owner loaned her to Lady Elyna and Malcolm Krome, to help them following the birth of their daughter, Elsie. Faith was happy to be of help. She got back home just in time to help Tristan with his play "A Royal Tragedy", where the King was in attendance. She did not like the change which had come over the king, he was lecherous and leering at her and she felt more than uncomfortable. He was attacked, though and Tristan, Andraska and Faith worked together to protect him. Andraska was given a place in the Ouroubous guard and Tristan was offered anything he wanted for this turn of events. Faith was very pleased to have been able to help. At the end of the play, Tristan was marked with Zanik's blessing and Faith could not be more proud.

Things continued on until then, out of the blue, after a letter from Alistair, Tristan asked her if she wanted to be free. Faith told him that yes, she did and on the 121st of Vhalar in the 716th Arc, he freed her. She fled from the house, terrified that she might become afraid and choose the safety of Tristan's ownership over what she knew she needed to do in Famula's name. She ran into the snow and in the moment that she did, she knew that there was only one place that she would go. Across town, to Padraig. She did this, where he welcomed her in and told her that she could stay with him as long as she wanted to. He bought a bed, a wardrobe and had a room built on to his house in order to facilitate her and Faith started the slow process of learning how to be free. Padraig gave her the space she needed and wanted, being very clear with her that what happened next was down to her. Faith was completely overwhelmed by her freedom, but with Padraig's help and more than a few steps backwards, she started to understand what freedom meant. She went back to Tristan's the next trial and there, he told her that he loved her. Faith could honestly put her hand on her heart and say she had never been so confused in her life.

The beginning of this season saw Faith newly free and trying to work out her way in the world. She knew without a doubt that she worshipped Famula and that she loved Padraig unequivocally.Yet, in the early trials of the season she needed to get to the point where she could understand herself and what she wanted. So, she stayed in her room and considered what it was that she needed. Padraig, during that time, made himself clear; he loved her and would give her the time she needed. If what she chose was to be somewhere other than with him, then he would support her and help her because her happiness was paramount to him. Faith struggled with this for a while, being unsure of such deep emotions and, without doubt, she struggled to express them. She and Padraig fell into a routine, however, and one evening they were going for a walk when she had determined that she was going to tell him everything, there in front of them was Famula. Faith was blessed that evening with the Zuuda mark, a sign of her devotion. It was, to Faith, the validation of her choice to be free ~ the recognition that, in freedom, she could choose to serve.

As the season progressed, Faith and Padraig settled into their relationship. It was a strange thing to her, but the rest of the season was punctuated and underlined by that. They'd gone about things a funny way, she realised; they had met, fallen in love and then started dating, but that didn't matter. For the first time in her life, Faith experienced something entirely for her and it made her more able to serve and stronger. It was a revelation. They joined a campaign being lead by Malcolm, to round up the last of the Qe'dreki rebels and there they spent their time worrying about each other. Whilst Padraig was out on a mission, there was a skirmish in the camp and, whilst trying to stop a scout escaping, Faith was thrown from her horse and suffered a concussion. She and Padraig returned home shortly after as she was plagued by headaches and such for some twenty trials afterwards. On the campaign, she had made her decision and her feelings for Padraig known and so Faith finally moved into their shared bedroom. It was not long after this that Padraig noticed that Faith's brands and scars were fading or already gone, a gift from Moseke who had given Faith her blessing at the end of the battle in Ne'haer and Oscillus, the former slave was beyond delighted. With some new furniture, they were settling back into routine, but not for long. Padraig had arranged for them to go on holiday to Rharne together, which delighted Faith.

Leaving Andaris was a revelation to Faith and she and Padraig both realised that the difference in her was enormous. Upon arriving in Rharne, Faith and Padraig stayed with the Order of the Adunih and then, having missed the 12 trials of Zi'da, they hunted down a serial killer called "the Strangler." They found where he lived and went there, having informed the Guard. Padraig stalled him by introducing Faith as his wife and saying that they were newly wed and wanted to buy a horse (the murderer's family business). They got back to their room and the pair were engaged in a conversation about how neither of them wanted marriage or children when Aelig appeared and told them that Faith was pregnant with Tristan's baby.

Still reeling from the news, things didn't let up for Faith and Padraig over the start of the next season. Now apparently about six months pregnant, the Immortal of Chaos and Illusion tortured them in a few ways, but as they got their bearings they realised that Faith had been through too much physically for this to be Tristan's child and they decided that they were going to raise it as their own. Faith went into labour and gave birth, during which Aelig turned up and at the end of it the illusion of the baby, which was all it had ever been, disappeared.

Obviously, this had enormous repurcussions for both of them and they left Rharne, via Portal Boot, as soon as they could. They went home to Andaris with the intention of staying there for a season or even two before moving to Scalvoris, a place they had talked about whilst on Rharne. However, Padraig found out about an opportunity for an expedition to Scalvoris, paid for by the University and with immediate transport via a Rupturer. They sold their house, Faith said goodbye to who she needed to and they left. Their plan there was that Padraig would continue his studies, get a job at the university and Faith could work at the Order of the Adunih and as a chef. It was a new start for the young couple and one which, considering all they had been through, they both needed. It had undoubtedly made them stronger as a couple, the realisation that they could do those things that they could have a child and survive the kind of torture Aelig put them through. Nonetheless, they were both battered and relieved to leave it all behind them.

Events quickly moved on, however. Padraig settled down into study at the university and he suggested to Faith that she did the same. She had always wanted to attend the university in Rynmere, but she was afraid of failing or of making things more difficult for Padraig. However, when they talked it over and laid those feelings bare she saw them for what they were and she went to enroll. When she did, she was asked to take an entrance exam and was both terrified and delighted to find out that she had been accepted on to the Diploma in Medicine. With both of them studying at Diploma level and holding down two jobs, they took a few days away to the volcano-island of Faldrass, where they stayed in the luxury resort there and had a number of strange adventures together. Returning to Scalvoris Town, Faith had a run in with one of her professors, who told her that she had flunked a test. Things, however, started to look a bit suspicious in terms of that and the young couple decided to investigate further.

Ashan 717 saw both Faith and Padraig being more than a little busy. Padraig had started a new job as an Associate Professor working with both Chemistry and Physics, so he was studying two subjects and working two jobs. She was only studying one, but she had two jobs and her volunteer work at the Order of the Adhunih also, alongside continuing to work on curing the Rot, the disease which Nir'wei had.

Early on in the season of Ashan, Faith noticed that Padraig was straining to focus and although she initially treated him for a simple cornea infection, she came to the conclusion that he had lightbane, a disease specific to Scalvoris which was, thusfar incurable. She was more than convinced when four more men came in to the clinic where she worked. She told him, then promised that she would find a cure. Although she did that, it did not cure Padraig and Faith came to the conclusion that something strange must have happened where he got some kind of toxin. They narrowed it down to the holiday on Faldrass, and so off they went to catch another giant spider, this time alive so that Faith could try and get a cure. The night before they were due to leave, though, they both had dreams which triggered memories of Moseke, in Faith's case and Qylios in Padraig's blessing them. Faith used her blessing to cure Padraig of the poison and he used his to bond with her so that they could function together more effectively.

They decided, therefore, to turn the trip into a break and they even hired a boat so that they could star gaze. Of course, such a romantic evening couldn't be allowed to last and fate decreed that pirates attacked the island that night.
Towards the end of the season, on the Naming Day in Scalvoris, Faith went to the Temple as she did each morning. There, as always, she lit a candle for Famula, for Moseke and for Vri. Lingering in the shrine to Vri, Faith lit a candle for her daughter, Rose and then realised that Vri was there with her. They spoke about the baby and Vri told Faith that she had to let go in order for Rose to pass on. He held out his hand and Faith gave him the small handkerchief she carried with her at all times, made from the material she had used to prepare the bedding for Rose's crib. She place the handkerchief in Vri's hands and he gave her his blessing, marking her with Bellinos. He also told her what her second name was and that, for Faith, was a clear indication that it was time to find out about her past.

Faith, of course, immediately went home and spoke to Padraig about what had happened. They discussed it all, from Vri's blessing to Faith's name, Nardovino. It was not the name she wanted and she would not take it. It turned out she did not need to, Padraig proposed to her and she accepted. They decided that they would be married on the 122nd Vhalar 717. She had been freed on the 121st 716, so the 122nd marked the first anniversary of her first full trial of freedom and was also the trial that Padraig told her he loved her. It seemed fitting. So, invitations were sent out to those nearest and dearest and Faith found herself totally delighted at planning the ceremony she had never thought she would be part of; her wedding.

Having sent out invitations, Faith and Padraig went about their trial by trial life. Faith was a little surprised at herself and how much she enjoyed the planning of their wedding. Still, they were both busy and so they mostly just ticked along as normal, the two of them. That was until Cyrus Augustin, Padraig's grandfather, arrived on Scalvoris with his new partner, Katie. The pair of them moved in with Padraig and Faith. Katie, a much younger woman, was what Faith called a "glittermonster", but there was no doubting that she made Cyrus happy and so the four of them settled quickly into a routine. However, Padraig went on an expedition this season, funded by the University, to Immortals' Tongue. Whilst he was there he ended up having to defend a slave from members of his own group and he abandoned the mission, bringing the slave girl home with him where she was safe.

That was tricky for the young couple, as Luna (the name Padraig gave the girl) had been trained in Athart, as Faith had and so she had a lot of learning to do. But, as they always would, they did what was best and right. Faith also finally managed to cure her friend, Nir'wei of "the Rot", a terminal disease which she had been working to cure for a number of seasons.

Both of them started their Charter this season, also, Faith in Medicine, Padraig in Physics. Having appealed to the Dean to have the demographics of disease introduced as a topic of study, he offered her a job doing it and so, this season, Faith became an Associate Professor at the University. She had included, in the letters which she sent as invitations, information on the name Nardovino to those who might be able to help her find out about her family.

Kura replied to her invitation and Faith was delighted to find that her friend was moving to Scalvoris. That was excellent as far as she was concerned, she and Padraig had asked Kura to officiate their wedding and Cally, Kura's ghostly companion, was her attendant. Whilst her house was being built, Kura stayed with them and so their quiet little home was transformed into a place of some chaos. But it was filled with love and that was what was important to Faith.

Things took a dark turn on the 56th Ymiden, 717 when Faith was kidnapped in the street. She was stolen away by a necromancer who took her, by enormowl, into the mountains. There, he tried to get her to talk to him about Famula - he was very angry and Faith fought him at every turn but he was stronger than her. She waited until darkness fell and then took ghostly form (an ability granted by her mark from Famula) and made her way. Padraig, of course, was coming to find her and they met on the mountainside. Padraig had brought Kali'rial and Pash with him and the four of them were attacked by Alexander, the necromancer, and his constructs. They won, but at what cost? Padraig had a scar in the shape of Alexander's hand on his chest and Faith's hands were scarred, but more than that was the psychological damage from knowing that, somehow, he hadn't died in the fire.

The kidnapping had an impact on the two of them and Faith and Padraig spent some time together simply just evaluating and reflecting. It was, perhaps, because of this that they purchased the house next door to theirs for Cyrus and Katie and had a large porch joining the two houses. A communal covered area and separate homes was the perfect solution. As they finished up that project, on the last trial of the season and the one before Faith turned nineteen, she realised that she was, once again, pregnant. This time, though, it was a real pregnancy, not an illusion or Immortal-created and was something which she and Padraig had talked about, on the trial that he brought Luna home. Once they had discovered that pregnancy, Faith was on her way to see Galena, at the Order of the Adunih for a medical when a runner found her. Tina, her friend, was bleeding and needed help. Faith made her way and there was Famula, in Tina's house. Tina was pregnant but hadn't told Faith and was hemorrhaging heavily. Famula gave Faith the choice of who to save, but told her that the baby was the reborn soul of Tina's father. Faith determined that she would save them both and attempted to separate out her blood in order to ensure that she gave Tina only the clear liquid which she knew the young woman could take. This was incredibly challenging to her, as Faith literally said "no" to Famula, something which she could not conceive of easily. However, Famula had not realised that Faith, following Oscillus and Treid, continued to study the separate parts of blood. She attempted to transfuse plasma into Tina, but discovered that it became sluggish and clotted. Famula stepped in and created a new transfusion tube from ectoplasm, saving both Tina and the baby. When that was done, Famula hugged Faith and kissed her on the forehead ~ adding to her Zuuda blessing, Faith was now an Exalted of Famula.

For Faith, this was a season punctuated and underlined by the pregnancy which she and Padraig had discovered on the last trial of Ymiden. They didn't tell anyone else about it, wanting to keep it between themselves for as long as they could. Saun 1st was also the first ever birthday Faith had ever celebrated as it was the first time she'd known when her birthday was. Padraig celebrated in style and, in fact, got her gifts for each of her nineteen birthdays, from a wooden shape sorter for the first, each one age appropriate. During this season, Faith was awarded her gold cloak in the Order of the Adunih, which she was incredibly proud to receive and she also determined that she was going to study blood. The ability to separate out blood was something which had a range of medical uses in her eyes, so she began her research.

This led her to both Rynmere and Viden, via the "Eclipse Portals", going to both places and gathering samples of blood from a range of people, races,
ages and genders. Whilst she was in Rynmere, she met with Tristan and he introduced her to baby Ayla. Faith was delighted to meet Tristan's daughter, but it was a very emotional meeting. The baby looked just like her, after all, except for having Tristan's eyes. The pair of them chatted and Faith examined Ayla as Tristan was concerned about her development.

Whilst in Viden, Faith met a Naerikk called Linika and that became a very odd situation. She and Linika ended up finding out about their own parts in the events in Oscillus and due to a misunderstanding and the actions of one of the Eidisi there, Faith got to experience Linika's thoughts and memories and, most importantly, her branding. It was an awful experience for the young woman and she blocked it from her memory.

During the beginning of Vhalar, Faith and Padraig told other people, outside of their immediate family, about the pregnancy. Faith organised work - both Cally's and the university and she prepared clothes and blankets, starting to make the things that they would need for their child. On the 34th Vhalar, the pair of them made their way, via Flutterbus, to Desnind where, on the 62nd Vhalar, they got married in the temple to Moseke. It wasn't the wedding they'd originally planned but the season before, whilst talking to Kura they had realised that it was the wedding they both wanted. Faith was astonished when no less than four Immortals appeared as Kura invoked them. Qylios, Famula, Moseke and Vri came and the young woman was astonished at the honour they bestowed on them both.

Just a few trials later, on the 65th, Faith was going to the medicine house in Desnind on her own when she saw Alexander, the man who had kidnapped her. After a panic attack, she realised that this was not Alexander but that, in fact, she was hallucinating. Without pausing, Faith made her way to Padraig and spoke to him about it. She knew that the only way she was going to get past this was with him, together, and so she spoke to him. As was their way, once they'd started talking about it, they put it in the open and slowly, things started to improve. She still had panic attacks, but she recognised them for what they were.

When they got back to Scalvoris, Padraig underwent his final examination and was awarded his Charter of Science in Physics. Faith was, of course, incredibly proud. He had discovered a strange phenomena regarding the second sun and so his mentor asked him to go to an uncharted area of the world, to the far north, and find out. Although he didn't want to leave her, especially in her currently pregnant state, they discussed it and agreed ~ they had echo scrolls and portal boots. He would leave at the very end of Vhalar. Faith, too, got her Charter this season and she stopped working as her pregnancy progressed.

By the beginning of this season, Faith was moving into the final trimester of her pregnancy and she was starting to get more and more tired and uncomfortable. However, the beginning of the season saw her frantic with worry. Padraig had gone on his expedition and, on the 5th Zi'da, they had lost contact. No magic, no immortal mark worked and so she had no idea where or how he was. Faith held down the panic which rose in her, but she knew that she had to do something, so she gathered her thoughts and then travelled to Viden, where she asked Linika for help. Linika put her in touch with a pirate called "Knots" who told her of a legend from that area of the world.

Then, when she got home, she walked out to Arlo's camp, to ask him if he could help as a dreamwalker. After checking every ship in the docks, buying books, going to Viden, speaking to Arlo and then Kura, Faith knew there was nothing more she could do other than to keep researching. This she did, growing more and more frantic; she also wrote to Padraig every trial, telling him what she was doing to find him. Eventually, on the 25th Zi'da, he reappeared in their home. The story he told of what he'd found, what had happened to him, was astonishing. After he'd been home a few trials, Faith told him how, during the time he'd been gone, she'd had another panic attack and had again hallucinated Alexander. Just once, but it was enough.

As Faith's pregnancy progressed, she and Padraig came to some decisions. They wanted nothing more than to be there, to watch their child grow and so they would both leave work, at least for a while. They both shared the feeling of needing to get their life back and so they agreed.

Then, on the 40th Zi'da, Faith was delighted to receive a note from her very dear friend, Aeon. He was at a local Inn and she immediately made her way to him. When she got there, the Inn was burning down and she witnessed Aeon being murdered by Noth, the Prince of Eternal Mercies. He used magic of some kind to portal away from there, although before that he handed her an infant who Aeon had been saving. Faith promised that she would have vengeance. From the dreams she had shared with Noth the young woman knew that he was in Etzos, knew his name and so she wrote to everyone she could think of in Rynmere, Etzos, Rynmere, Rharne, Ne'haer and Viden, telling them of this man. She also determined that she would travel to Etzos and have her revenge, but she hatched a plan to ensure that Noth would not find out. She and Padraig would go together and there, she determined, would end the reign of the Prince of Eternal Mercies. First, she had to go to Desnind, but then she would have the ability to get to him, and quickly.

However, time moved on and she took of Aeon's remains and also arranged for the infant to be adopted. Her pregnancy was progressing and when, after performing all the rituals needed, she was standing at Aeon's graveside, she was amazed to find that a beautiful, glowing white pegasus was there, waiting for her. She was also astonished to see that Vri himself was there. The Immortal had a task for her and <THEN I FILLED THIS IN>

On the 80th Zi'da 717, Padraig and Faith were walking to an Inn to have some food, after coming from a check up at the Order of the Adunih when a group of goons attempted to kidnap Faith. They were sent by Alexander and their plan was to take her to him and turn the baby into an undead thrall - then let it make it's way out. Faith was bundled into a carriage and, whilst she fought inside, Padraig dueled atop the carriage. However, although they took care of the would-be kidnappers, Faith went into panic induced labour. She was more than a little surprised when two large wolf pups appeared just as labour began. It appeared that Karem had blessed her babies in the womb. Labour progressed swiftly and there, in a carriage, in the middle of Scalvoris Town Faith gave birth to twins, first a boy called Noah and then a daughter, Madison.

Cylus was dominated by a single event. Faith an Padraig were stolen, literally, from their beds and ruptured to the mountains into a cell where Faith had been held previously. Alexander, the necromancer who had been tormenting them for so long, had made another move. The two of them were in their nightclothes and, after the initial panic had worn off, they knew that they had to move. So, they escaped the cell and then went searching for Alexander. After a few false starts, they returned to the building with the cells in them and found a secret entrance. There, they made their way down to Alexander's secret laboratory and, after an enormous fight, they killed him.
