There were probably some kind of rules as to how council meetings were supposed to go; some sets of routines designed to keep things civilised and professional. If there was then Tio hadn't read them. And so it was that an hour before the council was due to meet in their usual hall, while Kura prepared to lead an orderly discussion, any semblance of formality was destroyed when Tio burst through the doors with a wide grin on his face.
"TA DAAA!" He sang loudly, holding a rather unassuming looking book in front of himself with a flourish. He seemed inordinately proud of himself; as if the book he held aloft was the holy grail or something of similar calibre. "Guess what Empress! Feast your eyes! For I have in my hand a gift from the heavens! My initial plan to explore the tunnels sadly did not yield results, but by an act of divine providence I have obtained what we need to justify our raid on The Logging Consortium!" He cracked the book open to a random page and showed it to her. "The ledger of The Logging Consortium: written in the hand of Cornel herself! It contains records of a boatload of illegal transactions, most notably the sale of people into slavery, and proves beyond doubt that The Logging Consortium has been acting a front for a very wealthy criminal enterprise."
He winked at Kura. "So what's the plan boss! Lay siege to their office? Storm the gates? I think Mr Broson would like to take charge of things from here.
