Pash's Star Charts

Currently: A brain dump. You have been warned.

The plot development forum is designed for players and groups to keep track of their plot lines, goals they wish their characters to complete in each season, and anything else that may tie into your character's past, present, and future. Please remember that this is not the Personal Journals forum and should not be treated as such. I love the idea of little link calendars for each season with the date and the threads on those dates. Yes. I just need to make the time to do it.

Plot Arcs

Things I'd like to see Pash do in the future in terms of ongoing story.

Travel from Scalvoris to Ne'Haer:
Zi'Da 717 - Ashan 718
TRAVEL COMPANIONS:
Kali'rial (+Sarkis) + Niv

ESTIMATED DEPARTURE DATE (SCALVORIS):
1 Zi'da 717
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL DATE (NE'HAER):
1 Ashan 718

This estimates a purely hypothetical "perfect" travel time of 123 trials of travel non-stop, but we all know this trip won't be non-stop. Not a chance in Emea. There will be misadventures, storms, and other such fun at sea as well as several stops at regions/cities along the route.

⟡ ⟡ ⟡
In all honesty, this plot arc is probably more like a 6 months-2 year arc of travel, considering the regions/cities we'd like to visit and explore along the way.

This is the First Ever Unofficial Pash Vy'ryn World Tour, apparently. Thanks for wanting to come along.

Leaving in Zi'da and hitting up Andaris, Rynmere, then Rharne, and then either Etzos OR straight travel to Ne'Haer means that if we spend part of the season in each location (a ten-trial, two ten-trials, four, etc.), then the trip will of course be lengthened. It depends on the conditions of each city, especially since currently (Saun 717) all of Rynmere is now anti-magic and keen on slavery, then that's a dangerous location. Let's not even begin to theorize the condition of Etzos by Cylus 717 or later. That's just it's own bag o' crazy. Rharne may be a long stay, possibly an entire season (Cylus? Ashan?), so arrival times in Ne'Haer could be as late as Ymiden, Vhalar, or even Zi'da 718.

That's an entire year of travel. At least. It could be up to two years.

This is a big commitment, friends! Please PM me if you have any questions or concerns or would like to add to the lists I have below.
⟡ ⟡ ⟡
CURRENT PROPOSED ROUTE:
Route By Boat Total Travel
Scalvoris → Andaris 52 trials 52 trials
Andaris → Rharne 32 trials 84 trials
Rharne → Etzos 30 trials 114 trials
Etzos → Ne’Haer 54 trials 168 trials
Total Travel Time 168 trials
Departure from Scalvoris of 1 Zi'da 717 with this route means an Estimated Arrival in Ne'Haer of Ashan 45, 718 if no time is taken in each city. Obviously, there will be, so Estimated Arrival could be late Ashan or as late as 1 Ymiden 718, depending on what happens during travel.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Route By Boat Total Travel
Scalvoris → Andaris 52 trials 52 trials
Andaris → Rharne 32 trials 84 trials
Rharne → Ne’Haer 68 trials 152 trials
Total Travel Time 152 trials
Departure from Scalvoris of 1 Zi'da 717 with this route means an Estimated Arrival in Ne'Haer of Ashan 45, 718 if no time is taken in each city. Obviously, there will be, so Estimated Arrival could be late Ashan or as late as 1 Ymiden, depending on what happens during travel.

Domain Magic

Inspiration, notes, and plot goals for domain magic(s).

Domain Magic Mutations

Tangible Expression (Empathy Witchbrand, Initiation):
Upon Pash’s initiation as an Empath, his Spark seems to have taken a queue from one of his most obvious forms of expression: his hands. The lute- and sail-calloused pads of Pash's fingers appear to be scarred with color instead of just normal callouses, as if over the arcs of playing, the skin of his fingers and palms have been layered with paint. The colors of his most-often played emotions stain his fingers as if they've been dyed, mostly a range of blues and greens, a few reds and violets, but they are layered in thread-like lines that are more visible on the bottoms of his hands and finger-tips, but a few threads snake over his knuckles and toward his wrists. They could be mistaken for strange tattoos or stains from dye, and yet when closely examined, they are clearly neither of those things, more like scars or deep callouses. These colors will continue to grow and layer as the Spark within him continues to grow in power and strength.

Grasping Thread (Empathy Mutation, Competency):
Pash's first true mutation is an extension of his Spark's desire to control the reactions of people around him. The Biqaj is constantly manufacturing calming threads that he unconsciously sends out to the Tangles of those around him. The more people around him, the more subdued the effect. This Mutation is not overt, it just gives most who interact with him the 'option' to take a calmer and more relaxed approach to any situation...this can sometimes be detrimental when Pash needs to communicate urgency or panic.

Emotional Bias (Empathy Mutation, Expert):
Pash, in his laid back state of mind, finds it much easier to manipulate negative emotions to make them positive. He can identify the Strands fare more easily in the Tangle, and has more success in converting anger to joy, sadness to acceptance, etc. However, this also means that his own Tangle is as easily susceptible to the opposite. An enemy Empath may use this to make Pash melancholy, furious or depressed, and Pash’s defenses operate as if they were one tier lower against an opponent of the same strength or higher.
I'd like to eventually have Pash initiated into Attunement, whenever that Domain is released.

Do I want to reach Legendary and reveal in either magic? I don't know!

Pash's Real Life Doppleganger
Estas Tonne
So, this dude pretty much is Pash, minus the long fingernails for plucking (lutes don't require that) and the incense (although ...). Estas' stage presence, the fun he has with the audience, and, well ... everything ... yep. Thanks goes to Nero for this.

Baritone Singing Voice
John Mark McMillan
Took me a bit of searching to find the voice that I picture Pash singing in, but McMillan's voice has that earthy, broken baritone and an impressive power behind it that I really envision the salty bard capable of.

Mmmmyep. Theme song material.

Inspiration: Combat

While I'm generally uncomfortable with cultural appropriation, I really want to develop a Biqaj-themed form of capoeira. Because, YAS. It's very ... Biqaj. They don't have the same history to refer to at all (given the actual history of capoeira), but I still think that the movements and combat style would be very fitting.

I think that in order to best accomplish capoeira in-game would be to make sure that Unarmed Combat, Acrobatics, Dance, Strength, and Endurance are all worked on. My current skill goals are Master in Unarmed Combat and Strength, Expert in the rest. I may eventually reach Legendary in one of those, but I'm not in a hurry. I have other skills to put points into, too.

So, my Unarmed Combat goals for Pash are very, very this:
Videos

(there's a bunch of these)
It's exceedingly difficult (only because I'm impatient when scouring the internet) to find videos with actual contact being made while sparring, so while this video is mixed with other styles, the majority of it is capoeira-themed and useful for writing references.
I also have a ton of Portuguese terms I don't want to use directly, but would love to work into my Rakahi pidgin project as combat terms. I need to give this combat style a Rakahi name and go from there:
