-Stimulants-

Iffloil Flower
The dried petals of the Iffloil Flower can act as a mild stimulant, increasing heart rate and sensitivity to other medications. Often paired with poisons, the Iffloil petals can help speed up the rate of absorption, and several enterprising doctors have begun using it to speed up the absorption of medications.

-Hypnotics/Soporifics-

Fog
This is the adrenal/hallucinogen derived from the web of the 'Fogweaver' spider. It is not generally a pleasant experience, but gradually increasing use of this drug can help a character build up a resistance to hallucinogens in general. A misdosage of this product, during this procedure can set back the patient's progress, resulting in their becoming more susceptible to such drugs. This setback is always accompanied by a degree of withdrawal, though it is not too hard to overcome. The Fogweaver's web is far more potent in the Misty Miasma. Fogweavers generally only thrive in temperate zones, but because the Misty Miasma can appear anywhere, and supercedes the local climate, when Fogweaver's webs are located in severe climates, they are always of the Misty Miasma's variety. The resistance dosages generally sell for 4-8gn per dose. Those creating samples to deliberately traumatize a victim will sell them for 15-20gn, since they will be of considerably higher potency.

Mind Crusher
While most encounters with the Crush Vine Strangler are terrifying ordeals, the drug which can be gleaned from lengths of this plant/animal's "body", provides a very clean hallucinogenic experience, enjoyed by most everyone that has tried it. This growing reputation for consistent enjoyability, plus the rarity of its availability, make this a very high priced drug, commanding prices of 30gn per dose or more. Many people do not believe in the odd source of this drug, nor the indication that it is non-addictive. This last point is hard to confirm though, because no one has gotten hold of it often enough to really put this to the test.

Moukou Beans
The Moukou Bean can be eaten raw, used to make a warm drink similar to hot chocolate, turned into sweets or ground into a seasoning. They cause lethargy if eaten in large quantities, but have a distinctive, sweet taste. A mild pain reliever and mild sleep inducer.

Red Dress
The Red Dress is a scentless knockout drug made from the small red flowers of the Mole Cactus. This is not available outside of the Hotlands. In small doses it is often used pre-surgery. It forces the subject into a restless sleep, plagued with nightmares. Often kidnappers will think the dosage is wearing off, and redose their victim. This does not have the risk of killing them, only pushes them further into their nightmares.

Scarf Rot, Stage Four
Scarf Rot is a fungus that encircles trees. It slowly adds layers as it grows, expanding outwards. Every five arcs this changes the chemical properties of the previous layers. The fourth layer, found after fifteen arcs of growth, secrets a potent resin that can act as a sleeping agent when directly introduced to the bloodstream. It is most often used on blades during combat.

Star Fire
Star Fire is a rare salt found on the beaches of Rynmere. It can be dried into a powder and then snorted, acting as an average, general anesthetic, or dissolved in boiling water and taken as a shot. If it is drunk, the salt is a powerful sleeping agent, and will send even those resistant to its effects into a sleep within bits.

Tear Bower Mushroom
The Tear Bower Mushroom is a rare plant that must be ingested in order to work. The cap of the mushroom must be dried and ground in order to work, however the grinding process primes the chemical reaction. If it is not ingested within a few bits, it looses its power. It takes at least several breaks for the effects to take hold, and the feeling of intense lethargy is unmistakable. Any under the effects of it cannot be woken until the mushroom has worked its way through the system (Usually one trial, though dependent on the amount used.)

-Pain Relievers-

Moukou Beans
The Moukou Bean can be eaten raw, used to make a warm drink similar to hot chocolate, turned into sweets or ground into a seasoning. They cause lethargy if eaten in large quantities, but have a distinctive, sweet taste. A mild pain reliever and mild sleep inducer.

Rat Fluff
This refers to the processed feathers from rare Feathered Rats which still are born from time to time. The web and down is used as a calming agent. This can either be from the visual strobe effect of fanning them, either by hand or by simply having a feathered rat moving nearby; or by steeping it like a tea and drinking it. The central vane and calamus quill tip is ground up and either sniffed as a relief from common cold symptoms or used as a poultice as a pain killer. It takes about 5 feathers for either application. Breeders that are lucky enough to amass many of these delightful creatures farm the feathers for considerable value as these feathers generally bring about 1 gold apiece.

Red Dress
Red Dress is a poultice made from the flowers of the Spider Cactus. The flowers are difficult to pick from the needle-laden stems, however when processed can make a potent anti-infectant and potent pain-reliever.

The powder has been used for patients pre-surgery, as well as in interrogation to keep a person conscious through the removal of various appendages.

-Poisons-

Da'kir Tea
Many parts of this plant have flavorful applications, but the leaves are a cumulative poison that can appear as a wasting degenerative disease if used over time by an expert. Or they can be concentrated to simply kill a victim all at once. The difficulty with this latter approach is that the leaves themselves do not possess the highest level of flavor; and can be quite bitter when concentrated to this degree. When dried, the shelf life is sufficient to take the preferred, long-term approach, which generally takes an arc or more of daily cups of hot "Da'kir Tea". Native to the Desnind area, Small doses, to feign mild illness, are only 3 or 4gn for a week's worth of "teabags". Enough to kill in one sitting will cost 50 or 60 gn for the purified and concentrated packet. And an arc's worth of "teabags", for the long-term disease effect, will run 100gn or more. This long shelf life allows the cost to stay fairly consistent from region to region.

Thraybone
The scorpion can be milked for a long time, providing a lucrative source of an very effective paralyzing toxin. This has the benefit of making it possible to sell Thraybone for less than one might expect. Outside of the Hotlands, the doubled price is still only about 60gn for a dose that can render a human-sized victim completely helpless.

-Diseases-

Ignis Ventri, or Burning Stomach
This disease is only found in Scalvoris, and rarely there. It is spread through the bloodstream and manifests as burning pain in the stomach and a rash. It slowly dissolves the stomach, resulting in death after seven to ten trials. A rare, small flower is the only known cure.

The Jack
This disease only affects humans, and can only occur once a lifetime. The joints stiffen up, causing excruciating pain and the afflicted to stiffen up. As the disease runs its course, the patient falls into a coma-like state, plagued with nightmares. There is no cure, only rest and time. The disease passes within a trial or two.

Mer's Friend
This disease has no negative long term effects, and is often treated for purely aesthetic reasons. It is contracted after coming in contact with something a Mer has held, though it doesn't happen every time. It is seen as a greying of the hands and feet, all colour retreating up the arms and legs. It never progresses beyond the elbow, but is often seen as a sign of being poor and is treated with weekly leeches.

The Rot
The Rot is a degenerative brain disease. It begins with blinding headaches, moving on to paralysis as the disease progresses. Cranial acupuncture has been begun in Etzos, however for most it is a death sentence. It can be passed by sexual contact, procreation or contact with contaminated brain matter.

Skinwalker's Curse
This is a disease that effects the skin of Yludih. It is unknown how this disease is contract, nor are there any medications for it. It manifests as thin, faded lines that grow in opacity and thickness as time goes on. These lines can be reverted to their original form, and do so every time the Yludih switches forms. It takes about a trial for the lines to reappear.

White Touch
This is a disease that came from Lisirra originally. It manifests as white patches that appear on the skin, slowly growing outwards. When two white patches meet, the skin of the overlapped region begins to rot and decompose. Doctors in most places will perform surgery to cut out the sections. In Rynmere, leeches applied to the white regions can reduce the size of the spots, and the Cauldron has discovered a powder that can be snorted to eliminate the symptoms. This last treatment cannot be obtained save through the Cauldron.
