Nalin really was getting tired of Ink Bloom. He didn't care about the pain, he didn't care about that at all. It marred his skin and made him pass out, that's what he hated. Though, he wasn't built like a train warrior, he wasn't nothing to look at either. He did still have some muscle, just not a lot of it. The way that Lavana had looked at him, it told him everything he needed to know. He was an eyesore. He felt disgusting, but he'd pushed away that feeling to try and focus on now.

Why had she started helping him though? Why had she, after giving him all this trouble, changed her ways? What had.. oh.. it was his illness. He guessed he could thank his star for a little stroke of luck.

She'd even helped him walk all the way to a place he'd never been before. Fek he was going to be late for his night work. He sighed to himself and looked to the woman. She'd called herself a bitch, what a thing for a lady to call herself. They were now standing outside a building that he didn't know what was. He just looked to the woman for a moment and then nodded.

"Not a bitch." He paused and then smiled at her. "Just cautious, good for women and men to be. I was stranger, we just got off on wrong foot." He was sounding a bit better, less broken in his words, the cold rain must be helping quite a bit.

"Introduce myself but.. Nalin Marit. Nice to meet you." He smiled at her. It looked like a weak smile though, he was probably just trying to ignore his pain. He slowly tried to pull himself off of her. "Doctors... can't help" he sighed. "But if make feel better we can go."

He took a moment and adjusted his hair a bit. "Don't know.. this building.." Points to the elements base. "Never been here. Where is this?"

Twas true Lavana found herself feeling like shit for the way she had treated Nalin. She thought hed been an assassin coming to take her life only to find shed misjudged him and treated him like an asshole. It was a step to far and she wanted to correct her mistake, at least to feel a reprieve from the guilt that burrowed into her chest.

She raised a quizzical brow as she seemed perplexed by his reassurance that she was in fact not a bitch. This was a thing that Lavana took great pride in, but still she shrugged it off as politeness even if the dagger of courtesy drove its way into her feelings. She averted her gaze feeling pretty bad about the whole ordeal.

As she continued to assist him with the long walk, the cold rain saturated her attire and caused her hair to run straight down as it trickled down her face and tickled her nose.

"Alvana Thorn, thank you it's a pleasure to meet you Nalin." She let him pull himself off of her, but she watched him carefully in case he stumbled or fell from being off balanced. Shed keep herself close so she could preemptively snatch him mid fall; just incase.

It was there during the super storm In Almund. And she still half suspected it would still be open as she tried to look around in futile desperation. Nothing was there except a few guards, and Lavana was having trouble dealing with it as she felt a momentary rush of frustration and anger about it this as she felt shed led them astray in a rainstorm as the pitter pattering droplets laughed at Raskalarns Greatest Failure.

"I think, this is not the place we are looking for." As she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment the mortal born didn't get it they'd been here before, had it just been a temporary elements outpost to deal with the storm?

He was breathing slowly. Pulling himself together as best as he could. He kept smiling at the woman before him. "La'ana... Lahv..hana.. L.." he frowned and took a deep breath. "Lavana.. Yes.." He chuckled a bit. "If don't mind? Lavana okay? No worries. Only come to appease you." He smiles meekly now and moves to lean against the building.

"No doctor here can help. Hear tell of doctor in Scalvtown. Might leave tomorrow... or day after if can find way there... with sister. She mute... but maybe doctor there can help her too. Or help her easier." He looked up to Lavana.

"Just.. to scared till now.. father... still on loose.. and heard... he might be coming for Lavender.." He sighs and looks up at the sky, letting the rain patter on his face. He started laughing. "I... So scared, but even if... end up dying. Must protect Lavender." He looked to Lavana. "So.. even if father comes, he won't get what wants."

He laughs again. "No idea why telling you this, but truth better than nothing." He took a deep breath and looked too the ground. "I will keep hope. Hope has been.. my standard? That the right word? My banner? My.. " He sighs. "Sorry, words still hard even after all time here in Almund." He hugged himself and laughed, though it sounded more like he was scoffing at himself now.

There, drenched in rain, he was staring at the woman before him again, hair matted to his scalp, chin and neck. He smiled at her, his eyes still that same piercing blue. He stood up off the wall now. "Sorry for.... talking ear off. You no need know my story, but... thanks for listening." He ran his fingers through his hair slowly and looked over the lady's features. "We should.. find warmth, dry off. My second job might allow for it, if you don't mind?" He looked over her, "or we can find tavern or pub? Up to you.."

Lavanas eyes seemed to watch Nalin with a glimmer of curiosity. Had she been viewed like this? The mortal born was interested in this concept as she saw him struggle. Was she weak? As she felt her mothers strength surge from within her, her nose flared as she would try to help him.

"With Discipline! cast your self doubts aside! Steady your nerves! And strike him down!" Lavana cackled as she let one of her hands reach out to the sky while the other dropped to her side and let the rain splash on her face, the exhilarating sensation coupled with the rush of the cold it was like glorious combat. When adrenaline and endorphins surged through her veins. "It's easy, like cutting cake" as Lavanas golden honey hues grew wild with the thrill of battle perhaps an obsession behind blood lusting eyes as she averted her gaze to Nalin resting on the wall as she smiled some diabolic his way.

As she turned with nothing in her hands to make a mock chopping motion as if she had a sword in her hand making motions as she moved and spoke. "Seize the fucking moment, and carve him cleanly. If it's you or him die on your feet like a man, rather then on your knees like a coward" the mortal took a calming breath, to tone herself down as shed take a moment to ponder before addressing him again on matters of faith as her put the subject on the table.

"If you but pray to Raskalarn she will smile and give you the strength to conquer a foe of a thousand swords, she is all the banner you need." there was nothing left to touch upon the subject. Killing came easy, taking life not even an after thought. Shed sleep easy as there faces did not haunt. Lavana had hopes her presentation would be enough to inspire him for the

"See now we are talking, I want to go to the buckle chain. My friend haunts the place occasionally maybe we will see her. I could use a drink anyway" Lavana felt inspired as if she could give this sweltering ember of passion to him hoping she might sway her friends opinion and open his eyes to her mother and treasure it as a keep sake. He could find a strength within through discipline, hed all but have to man up to the task it was that or let his father take his sister. She could empathize, which is why she spoke with adamant composure on the subject.

Nalin blinked, completely thrown for a loop. Utterly at a loss for words as he just stood there, mouth kind of hanging half open. Almost looked like a deer in torchlight.

He shook his head after a moment of collecting himself. "No..." His hand grips into a fist, something in his eyes shifted, a fire of a demon that wasn't there before. He looked to her and smirked. "He cunning... powerful... meticulous.. that... ten arc ago. No clue now. But hear much worse now." He looked over the woman before him, like she had no idea. And she didn't she had no clue what this man had done to him and his sister.

"Xiur only one trust. Only one understands." He looked down. "Not just about killing. Or conquering as say.. Not even power." he shook his head. "Being better than... monster" The way that his voice seemed to growl like a beast with that last word, it was obvious he was constraining something deep within him. "Better than.. Freak.. letting sister know all okay. Not playing victim, outsmarting foe. Not breaking even when in monsters wretchful grasp." His teeth were grinding now.

"Will not... turn killer. Can't turn killer. Will use stars light as guide to find the path. even stray from path find it again. His level.. not my own." He stopped talking and started walking towards the opposite direction of The Buckle and Chain. If Lavana followed it was her choice, but if she didn't follow him, he'd be 'wandering alone' in the rain. He obviously needed to cool off though.

Monster!

Lavana wasn't at all sure how to take Nalins adamant composure about calling her or her mother a monster as the man spoke quick his words were hard to follow hard to process as confusion began to set in as the language barrier coupled with Nalins anger for his father and while he spoke about him Lav was dumbstruck as it felt as if the words were directed at her. He sulked in a corner and confided in her with confidence and as a friend she tried to lead him to the answer the only answer Lavana had.

Stand up and fight for what you believe in, or be taken advantage of at every turn. It didn't matter what hed done, what mattered was how hed face him when the time came. His words were filled with cowardice, while his eyes were inflamed with passion and fury on the subject. Hed already lost the battle, hed put his father on a pedestal and made him the villain that could not be beat. It was mental, all mental for Nalin he just had to grip his fear with discipline and carve him down in the heat of the moment.

Freak

It was her responsibility as her mothers daughter to guide Nalin to the light of Raskalarns glory but it was not hers to make him drink of the wisdom shed offer. Nalin was his own man, and being called a Freak had in fact hurt the mortal borns feelings in a way that made her recoil her once friendly demeanor as she threw up her emotional walls and barriers to safe guard her feelings, she felt like a monster at times always being tugged upon left and right by whispering lulls.

Lavana had dug her foot in as she assessed her situation. Nalin was commited spiritually to Xiur, but would not see the light of Raskalarn and it was her short coming as a leader to try and guide him. It lacked Discipline, but that was his path and she accepted it but maybe when that time came hed take her advice rather then run from his father.

Lavana was more interested in a hard drink to navigate herself into a better mood but she would do so with pride as it no longer behooved her to continue.

"I wish you the best!"

As she went her own way to forge her own path, Lavana said all she could and there was nothing left for her help him. He could storm off mad, and call it whatever he wanted but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to survive and see the next trial.

Nalin froze as heard Lavana's words. He didn't like the tone behind them, almost seemed like she was trying to cover some feeling up. He turned after having taken a few steps and quickly hoofed his way up to Lavana and grabbed her arm without thinking.

"W.. Wait.. Lavana!" He looked over her features. Something he said had bothered her, he could feel it. "Those words... for father... not you..." He looked over her face, hoping that maybe he'd hit the nail on the proverbial head. "Father is one who, I won't stoop, stand with him bad."

He groaned in frustration as he pulled his hand away from Lavana. "I sorry... Common so bad.. frustrating... Need learn faster." He ran a hand slowly through his wet hair and looked at Lavana with a suave smile. "Sorry if startled... Just... want you know... not mad at... Lavana." He took a slow and deep breath and just looked up at the sky again.

"I just.... follow own path... to riding world... of father. If comes to it... may kill him.. but that isn't what... aim is." Slowly, he took a deep breath and looked at her again with a slow grin. "Come, get you drink ... at other workplace. Closer than Buckle and Chain... Also can get you towel. Dry off and warm up." He smiled slowly. His offer on the table, he stood there waiting for the answer. He really didn't want to go back to the Buckle and Chain. Especially since his shift at The Siren's Embrace was about to start.
