6th Saun, Arc 717
He was in the city of Andaris for a few reasons but first and foremost he was in search of a gift for the child that rested in his lovers womb. He had already prepared one gift for their babe, a garden in which he or she could explore the many plants of Idalos and experience the beauty of the world from the safety of their home. He fully intended to learn the name and origin of all the plants the garden contained so he could one day teach them to his heir.
Still, he wanted something else, something the child could hold and keep. He had considered a doll but it did not feel special enough, so he was on the prowl. He dipped in and out of many shops, searching in the places of great luxury and the places of lesser expense and yet he was unsuccessful. Xander could plan for battle he could fight an assassin off and he could argue politics all day long but shopping, that really was not his thing.
He was about to set off back to Astedia when he bumped into the woman on his way out of the shop. Foolishly he was not looking where he was going and walked straight into the unfortunate lady. "Oh I am so sorry Miss, I wasn't looking where I was going." He looked up at the woman in front of him. There was a sense of familiarity about her, although he was sure they had never met before, most likely she was related to someone he knew.
"I must apologise for my clumsiness, my mind was else wear." He looked at the attractive girl, she must have been around the same age as Celeste. "This might be an odd question but have we met? My name is Xander Andaris although you might remember me as a Krome if we have." A warm smile sat across his lips, pleasant and friendly as his well practised etiquette came naturally into action.
Waiting for her response he looked around the street, it was relatively busy. Guards walked among the common folk and the occasional better off members of society were few and far between. He did not exactly look the part of nobility, especially not a Baron but he preferred it that way. Simple clothing was his choice, with brown trousers boots a white shirt and his sword hanging at his hip. He looked like many of the others who walked the streets of Andaris.
